I was able to take my lessons learned from the bow and apply them to the stern. First, I had a much better way to cut the strips this time. I used a circular saw jig to make a standard width much easier. Second, I shaped the curve better to allow for a single strip. Finally, I got two extra (beautiful) hands to help me lay them in courtesy of my wife. Thanks babe!

After the glue set I carefully removed the tape, and did a little sanding and detail cuts. The result came out pretty good. The next step is to lay in the base rows along the sides.
