Just finished putting the final strips in the boat last night. (I made a bit too much noise at 10:30pm since I had to “tap” it in with my mallet). The next step is fairing and filling. I started on fairing a little before I finished the strips, but that was just to see where I’ll need to focus. I noticed a couple places that I’ll need to do the sawdust and glue trick to cover some imperfections, and I’m trying to decide on how I want to detail the bow and stern. I call this a victory so far. I’m super happy with the progress.
